Introduction

This page is to introduce you to the High Point YachtFest (“HPYF”) and to present the marketing opportunities available to companies wishing to become involved with sponsorship.

We would like to give special thanks to the following companies who supported High Point YachtFest 2008: Foster Wheeler, Stultz Gmbh Klimatechnik and Interoute, CB&I and Aker Solutions.

Background

In 1994 a group of friends working for engineering contractors chartered three yachts and decided to race between their overnight destinations.  The winner organised a similar holiday the next year and started the Engineering Challenge Cup which has become the Mediterranean’s largest privately organised international roving regatta.  It has become so popular that for the last few years it has had to limit the number of entrants.  Having successfully organised this regatta on four occasions since 2001, in 2007 we decided to create HPYF to accommodate the over-spill from the Engineering Challenge Cup and at the same time cater for Finance, Law and IT entries as well.

The 2008 HPYF event will be held in Gocek, Turkey over four weeks.  The four weeks are for the Finance, Law, Engineering and IT industries respectively.  Each entry represents a company associated with that week’s industry.  It is an informal amateur event with the emphasis on the social and networking side and following the same principles as ECC is expected to achieve similar growth.

Positive exposure in front of these communities, can greatly enhance your company’s profile and prospects within the participating industries.

In previous events we have organised, some excellent sponsors have provided clothing, services and other goods which have been very much appreciated by the participants.  HPYF sponsors will have their logo displayed on the crews’ clothing, links included in the official HPYF website, advertisements in the HPYF logbook, flags on the committee boat and stickers on the yachts, depending on the level of sponsorship provided.

Sponsors providing accessories or clothing will see their company benefit from the marketing exposure for many years to come, as the best quality items will be worn in following years as well.

Sponsorship Options

For 2008, there will be three standard packages of sponsorship, “Gold”, “Silver” and “Bronze” as outlined below.



“Bronze” Package.

Display a half A4 page full colour advertisement in the official skippers’ logbook, have a hyperlink from your company logo on the official HPYF Website and display your company logo on the back of the official HPYF polo shirt.  Cost is €500.-

“Silver” Package.

As “Bronze” package, plus, Logbook advertisement on a whole A4 page and your company flag will be flown at the HPYF Welcome party and final Prize Giving party as well as at the daily skippers’ briefings.  Cost is €700.-

“Gold” Package.

All the benefits of “Silver” package, plus if you provide a flag and set of stickers, we will fly your flag prominently on the Committee boat and display your company logo on every yacht in the fleet.  This exclusive top sponsorship package is limited to three sponsors.  Each sponsor gets either the port side, starboard side or stern of all yachts for his logo, the choice of which is on a first come first served basis.  Cost is €1,000.-

“Custom” Package

Your company could offer full or shared funding of clothing or accessory sponsorship opportunities as shown below (note: prices are in Euros and may be lower if ordered in time to benefit from far east manufacture).



We could also discuss other options like having your name on the windward racing mark, providing coffee for the daily skippers’ briefings, a starter pack for each yacht (e.g. wine, bread, coffee, etc), a buffet one evening, a live band, etc.

If your contribution is over €600 or €800 on any “custom” package, you will also get included the Bronze or Silver package benefits respectively.  If you are sponsoring an event, on the day of that event we can fly your flag at the skippers’ briefing and you may hand out leaflets or CD’s if you wish.
