High Point YachtFest are annual one week regattas, associated with different industries, trades or professions. In 2010, the High Point YachtFest regatta will take place in Sardinia and Corsica, 18th - 25th September. The fleet size will be kept small enough to maintain the intimate feel that the participants want and additional weeks will be used if demands require it. The organisers will cap the number of participating boats at approximately 20. Preference will be given to previous years' participants when allocating boats for subsequent regattas.

Each boat is privately entered by the skipper and his crew in the name of a company associated with a particular industry. Company funding is not anticipated.

The yachting festival involves six days of sailing around timed courses between overnight destinations. The week's winner will receive a trophy and the title "Commodore" for the following year.

HPYF 2010 will start and finish in the Portisco Marina, approximately 20 minutes drive from the Olbia Airport. Portisco is a very convenient starting/finishing point to cover the magnificent area of North Sardinia, La Maddalena archipelago and south Corsica.
