High Point YachtFest

High Point YachtFest (HPYF) 2010 destination is Sardinia & Corsica. The regatta will be held out of Portisco on 18th to 25th of September, when the sea is warmest. Portisco is 20 minutes from Olbia, Sardinia’s international airport. The route depends on the weather but we would expect to go between Portisco and Bonifacio visiting Porto Vecchio, Cannigione and La Maddalena archipelago on the way. We look forward to seeing you all again and hope to welcome more of you in 2010.

The Annual High Point YachtFests are multinational fun sporting regattas to be held in October around the Mediterranean, involving non-aggressive, non-professional sailing with the focus on the social side.

They are for people who like sailing and want to meet others from a common professional background. A year's anticipation and hopes will be crowned with a week's sailing in beautiful surroundings and with fantastic entertainment. You will make new friends and look forward to meeting up again in future years.

HPYFs take place around the Mediterranean, allowing participants to enjoy the history, culture and stunning natural environment of the region.  Participants in the regatta are drawn from different professions and the regatta itself is competitively priced to allow anyone who wants to participate.

Entry procedure for HPYF 2010

The September 2010 fleet will consist of boats between 38ft (berths maximum 6
people) and 47ft (berths maximum 8 people).

I must say at this point, that the High Point organisation was notably very efficient, leaving nothing to chance and with no hidden surprises...Rabbit starts, once we got the gist, made for safer sailing too. Another beauty of smaller fleets is that ...
